Introducing your New, Improved Lubstock Festival

For those of you who’ve been with us before, you already know what Lubstock is all about; appreciating brilliant live music in a safe, beautiful setting. If you’re a newbie, here it is in a nutshell: we’re an independent, non-for-profit music festival based in the Leicestershire countryside.

Now getting revved up for the 6th consecutive year, Lubstock festival was born out of a passion for supporting fantastic, emerging talent. We’ve been lucky enough to secure the perfect location, far away from the city noise; the field is next to a lake, by a woodside overlooking rolling corn fields. It’s about as close to paradise you can get without boarding a plane!

We’ve completely overhauled our website to reflect the great new additions we’re introducing this year. As well as seeing more action from acoustic bands on the lakeside stage, the team are also extra excited to party into the night in the dance tent, managed by a top London DJ. The lineup for this, as well as the main stage, will be announced very soon…

Mad Dogs & Magical Creatures

Reflecting the loveable nutters who founded the festival, the theme has always been ‘Mad Dogs & Englishmen’. It’s quite fitting for the farmland we take over on an annual basis. But this year, we’ve decided to branch out a bit, allowing for even more creativity with costumes, activities and art installations. We polled our network of Lubbites to come up with a new theme for this year, but holding on to the ‘Mad Dogs’ that started it all… and so it was decided.
